# of years teaching – 40 years! I was introduced to Jazzercise in September 1979 in Panama City, Florida, Jazzercise was in it’s 10 th year! I took the Jazzercise instructor workshop April 1 st , 1980 and immediately opened up classes and taught 12 classes per week, two years later my husband was assigned to RAF Alconbury, England, Jazzercise at that time had not been heard of here in the UK! Once we had settled I started to set up classes, October 1983 I opened up classes in St, Ives and in 1985 opened up classes in Cambridge. February 1987 Jazzercise Inc appointed me as the District Manager and trainer for the UK, my job then was to spread Jazzercise throughout the UK by offering instructor training workshops, I retired my DM position in December 2017 at which time we had over 250 instructors teaching over 800 classes per week throughout the UK!
